Raising funds for the Harold & Grace Baker Centre since 1998
As a not-for-profit corporation, the Baker Centre offers affordable rates to residents and, after covering all operating expenses, retains a modest balance for capital projects. However, these funds alone are insufficient to pay for all ongoing priority capital requirements making it essential for the Baker Centre to rely on charitable donations in order to adequately maintain and improve the facilities.
Donations to the Foundation have been directed towards many capital projects including a bus for outings, the replacement of a roof and a café area on the 4th floor of the Retirement Residence.
The Baker Centre Health Care Foundation is incorporated under the Charitable Institutions Act and issues charitable tax receipts. Our Charitable Registration Number is 87196 2841 RR0001.

The Harold & Grace Baker Centre benefits from the generosity of over 120 dynamic volunteers who are an essential part of the Centre
Volunteers complement the efforts of Programs staff, both assisting with programs and supporting other initiatives such as staffing the Memory Lane Gift Shop, a handy little boutique located in the main lobby that caters to the needs of Baker Centre residents.
The Baker Centre is always looking for more volunteers. If you have a passion for spending time with the elderly and can contribute some time to our home, please click on the “Volunteer Now” button.
The Family Council is an organized self-led, self-determining, democratic group composed of the Resident Services Coordinator and family and friends of the Harold & Grace Baker Centre
The Family Council is a partner in providing quality care. Families and friends of the Baker Centre meet regularly to improve and enhance the care of our residents.
